  • Odia Natya Samaroha at Kolkata from 25th May to 29th May-2014

    Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi in collaboration with Odisha Natya Sangha & Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre 5 days Odia Natya Samaroha organised at Purbashree auditorium, Kolkata from 25th to 29th May-2014. Five reputed Theatre groups were participated in this Festival.

  • Banikantha Nimain Harichandan Jayanti, 8th July-2014 at Kendrapara

    Banikantha Jayanti was organized by Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi in collaboration with District Council of Culture, Kendrapara and Kendrapara Event Manager (KEM) in the birth place of Banikantha held on 08.07.2014 at Dolamandap, Near Baladev Jiew Temple. Dr. Pratap Kumar Mishra, Sub-Collector was the Chief Guest, Dr. Basudev Das, Literature, Chief Speaker. Sj. Dhiren Sahu, Chairman, Kendrapara Municipality Kendrapara, Sri Golakh Chandra Behera, DCO, Kendrapara, Sri Dhiren Kumar Pani, President, Kendrapara Event Managers(KEM) as esteemed guests, and Sri Chitta Ranjan Mallia, Secretary, Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi were presented in this Jayanti. After the meeting the artists present the Bhanjan which were song by Banikantha.

  • Sugam Sangeet Samaroha, 15th July 2014 at Bhawanipatna, Kalahandi

    Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi under the aegis of Deptt. of Culture in collaboration with District Council of Culture, Kalahandi, Mahavir Sanskrutik Anusthan, Prativa and Kalahandi Kalakar Sangha, Bhawanipatna organised Sugam Sangeet Samaroha at Town Hall, Bhawanipatna on 15th July 2014 at 6.30 P.M. In this connection the following eminent artists of Odisha were presented their songs.

    A. Theatre Workshop on production Oriented from 10th to 30th July 2014 at Jajpur:

    Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi under aegis of Deptt. of Culture Govt. of Odisha was organised "Production Oriented Theatre Workshop" from 10th to 30th July,2014 at Gautam Budha Sanskruti Bhavan in collaboration with Odisha Natya Sangha, Bhubaneswar and Ghungur Natya Parisad, Jajpur Town, Jajpur where 20 nos. of young theatre loving students were selected to get the training. Narottam Parida the camp director was give knowledge on stage craft, light, sound makeup and costume along with this, he was also looked into the interval work of the workshop. Jaya Praksh Das, the workshop was continuing upto 29th July and was completed after the final stage show at Goutam Budha Sanskruti Bhavan on 30th July and at last the trainers were got successful certificates.


    B. Theatre Director's Workshop from 12th to 26th July2014 at Bhanja Kala Mandap, Bhubaneswar.

    Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi under the aegis of the Deptt. of Tourism & Culture, Govt. of Odisha was organised "Theatre Director's Workshop" in collaboration with Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Kolkata and Odisha Natya Sangha, Bhubaneswar from 12th to 26th July,2014 at Bhanja kala Mandap, Bhubaneswar. The programme was continuing with full swing. Apart from Mr. Prabir Guha and Mr. Gunakar Dev Goswami 18 resource persons from different parts of Odisha were imparting training 20 trainees on varied aspects of theatre direction. Mr. Guha and Mr. Goswami had rendered their brilliant services for success of the workshop. Mr. Omprakash Bharti, the Director, Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Kolkata was grace the occasion as esteemed guest in the valedictory function of Theatre Director's Workshop on 26.07.2014 at 6.30 p.m. at Bhanja Kala Mandap, Bhubaneswar. Hon'ble Minister, Tourism & Culture had given his kind consent to grace this occasion.

  • Mohan Sundar Deva Goswami Jayanti 8th Aug. 2014, at Town Hall, Puri

    Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi under the aegis of the Deptt. of Tourism & Culture, Govt. of Odisha organised "Mohan Sundar Deva Goswami" Jayanti in collaboration with District Coucil of Culture, Puri Municipal Corporation, Puri & Puri Dance Academy, Puri on 8th Aug.2014 at Town Hall, Puri.

  • Bharatiyam, 15th August,2014 at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar

    To commemorate the 67th years India's independence and to create awakening among the younger generation for patriotism, the Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi under the aegis of Department of Culture was organizing the 'Bharatiyam', a festival of Patriotic Songs on 15th August,2014 involving eminent singers under the guidance of noted Music Director Sri Manmath Mishra. This was for the third time Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi had taken such attempt to sensitize students, Youth and the public for love to our Motherland.

  • Megha Utsav from 17th to 19th Sept. 2014 at Nalco Nagar Angul

    On behalf of Deptt. of Culture, Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi, Odisha Sahitya Akademi & Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi organised 'Megha Utsav' at Nalco Nagar Angul from 17th to 19th Sept., 2014. A celebration of the monsoon through Literature, Painting, Music & Dance. Folk Dance & Odissi dance groups inside & outside Odisha were participated and also Odissi Vocal, Hindustani Vocal were presented in this programme.

  • Rangabati (western Odisha music & dance festival) from 25th to 27th Sept. 2014 at Rourkela

    Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi under the aegis of Deptt. of Culture in collaboration with Bhanja Kala Kendra, Rourkela organised "Rangabati" (western Odisha music & dance festival) held at Rourkela Steel Plant from 25th to 27th Sept.,2014.The artists from 10 districts of Western Odisha were presented their dances and music.

  • Inter State Cultural Programme from 17th to 19th Oct.,2014 at Gao

    Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi under the aegis of Deptt. of Culture was organised this Inter State Cultural Exchange Programme at Goa from 17th to 19th Oct.,2014. In this proogramme Odissi Music, Odissi Dance, Sambalpuri Dance, Gotipua Dance were presented by Odishan artists.

  • World Tourism Day on 27th Sept.,2015, Bhubaneswar

    Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi under the aegis of Deptt. of Tourism & Culture (Tourism) was organised "World Tourism Day" held on 27th Sept.,2014 at Bhubaneswar. In this connection the Odissi dance, Sambalpuri dance, Ghoda Nacha etc. presented by the artists.
